Introducing our newest team member Anthony Elbers, who will be working with the TyreSense team.
Anthony has spent the last 10 years in the OTR tyre industry working with the small to medium product range for Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia throughout the Pilbara and Gascoyne region of WA.
Since then, he has worked with numerous customers throughout the Pilbara, from the salt mines along the coast, (which fed his addiction of throwing money into the water attached to a piece of string, to try and catch one of the piscatorial delights that live off those coastlines), to inland iron ore operations.
The last five years has been more specific in the OTR wheel design and application, spending four years with Titan Wheels Australia. During which time, Anthony has undertaken additional studies in data analytics, and is looking forward to using these skills to interpret the TyreSense data.
We sat down with Anthony to find out a little more about what makes him tick.
Q. Is there a name/nickname you prefer to be called?
A. No, just Elbers…. Anthony Elbers
Q. What were you doing before working at RIMEX?
A. Enjoying life…… brewing and drinking beer….. Did I make the wrong move coming back to the OTR world?!
Q. If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?
A. OTR Polymath
Q. What do you enjoy about the work you do?
A. The work here varies in both location and application. I can be in the office analysing and interpreting data one week, to performing an install on a machine at a mine site the following week.
Q. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
A. Spending time with my family, whether it be at the boys sporting events or on the water fishing.
