Last weekend, the vibrant heart of South Australia’s transport industry beat a little louder as the Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of SA Inc. (LRTASA) hosted its much-anticipated annual conference. Over the course of the event, camaraderie, innovation, and community spirit were on full display – a testament to the dedication of those who keep our rural and regional economies moving.
Among the many highlights was the highly anticipated auction, where RIMEX proudly partnered with Freightmaster Semi Trailers in supplying the wheels and tyres for the main auction item: a Freightmaster Tandem Axle road train dolly. Fitted with RIMEX forged polished alloys and Sunwide SMX300 AP tyres, this state-of-the-art dolly was a showcase of reliability, durability, and cutting-edge design.
The excitement in the room was palpable as bidding escalated, and ultimately, Quinn Transport – renowned supporters of the LRTASA – secured the winning bid. Their investment not only demonstrated a commitment to excellence but also reinforced the collaborative ethos that defines this industry.
For years, LRTASA has been at the forefront of representing livestock and rural carriers across South Australia. With a proud history of advocacy and support, the Association brings together hard-working business owners and workers from all corners of the state. Whether through sharing expertise, offering guidance, or fostering opportunities to connect at annual events, LRTASA proves time and again that strength lies in unity.
Much more than a professional association, LRTASA is a vital hub for those dedicated to rural transport. It operates in concert with the Australian Livestock & Rural Transporters Association—our national industry body—alongside a network of similar groups at the state level. This collaboration ensures that the voices of South Australia’s transporters are heard and valued not just locally, but nationwide.
The recent conference was a powerful reminder of how innovation, partnership, and shared values can drive the industry forward. As the dust settles and the new Freightmaster dolly finds its place in the Quinn Transport fleet, the echoes of the weekend linger on – promising another year of progress, resilience, and unity for South Australia’s transport community.
To all who attended, contributed, and celebrated – here’s to the road ahead!
