Meet Joel Bloom

Some of friends and family call me Bloomsy, a little play on my last name. 

I have been working in the Transport and Logistics industry for close to a decade now , some of which has been warehousing and truck driving I have also gained my Cert III in Driving Operations and Certificates in Logistics.

If I had to choose my own job title I’d say Peak Downs 500 specialist, that’s the highway that we generally use to get to most of the mines it’s in the Bowen Basin, I have been travelling that highway nearly every day for the past 4 years.  

One of the things I enjoy most about work is making a good rapport with both the team at work as well as the people out on site, the day goes so much better when you can have a laugh with the people you work with.   

For my weekends you will generally find me either shooting clays or cooking a feed on the BBQ I’m a huge sucker for a good BBQ.   

Something that is surprising to most is my age, for a bloke that’s only young I have a tremendous amount of knowledge about the industry and people generally think I’m a lot older than I am.
