Workshop Supervisor |Muswellbrook, NSW

Are you a proactive leader with a passion for workshop management, safety, and people development? Rimex is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Muswellbrook. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise workshop staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Lead by example with a strong focus on people management and leadership. A passion to drive change within the organisation.
  2. Working in Collaboration: Work closely with the Leading Hand to coordinate workflow, provide support, and ensure seamless operations within the workshop.
  3. Technical Support: Offer technical support and direction to workshop employees, as well as providing technical assistance on company products to both employees and customers.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to safety procedures and regulations while performing tasks, maintaining a safe working environment.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Manage staff time sheets and leave requests, as well as plan and quote for all workshop jobs. Sign off on completed work and assist the State Manager with budgeting inventory.
  6. Customer Liaison: Act as a liaison between sales staff, customers, and the workshop, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure all crack testing and welding processes meet Australian standards. Monitor dispatch and receiving processes to ensure efficiency and timeliness. Monitor dispatch items to make sure quality product is being shipped from the business.
  8. Supplier Relations: Liaise with external suppliers and other Rimex branches, assisting with queries and stock transfers as needed.
  9. Training and Development: Conduct toolbox talks and plan daily activities for workshop personnel. Mentor and train apprentices and staff to develop their skills.
  10. Process Improvement: Source new tooling and develop improved processes to enhance factory productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Monitor procedures and tasks for risk reduction and safety improvements. Lead by example and monitor compliance by staff.
  11. Documentation and Communication: Ensure all documentation for jobs is completed accurately and filed appropriately. Facilitate clear communication between factory staff, office staff, sales, and customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a workshop supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Trade Qualification is advantageous but not essential if you meet all other requirements.

Service Technician |Perth, WA

We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous thinking Technician to join our TyreSense team located in Perth. As a TyreSense Technician you will provide technical support to our system, working closely with multiple key stakeholders within our client’s complex business network. 

This is a highly rewarding and dynamic role for the right candidate as you will be required to provide technical support for both hardware and software platforms, training and upskilling of key end user groups, both externally and internally, and developing solutions-based outcomes for existing and new business requirements. 

Supported by our development and engineering team in Canada, and reporting to the TyreSense Lead Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team providing best in class technical support to an industry leading and safety critical system. 

Key Responsibilities

Based at our Western Australian Head Office in Perth your role will include:

  • Regular travel throughout Western Australia to mining operations and corporate offices where required to support and promote the TyreSense product in the field.
  • Conduct system audits, health checks and provide recommendations on hardware and system replacements to ensure optimum reliability of TyreSense.
  • Ensure client satisfaction is achieved through delivering product expectations.
  • Perform product installations, on new and used equipment at OEM facilities and client mining operations, ensuring TyreSense standards are maintained.
  • Manage existing clients providing training and upskilling to key end users while assisting RIMEX sales staff with new enquiries with technical queries and application scoping.
  • Provide detailed value add analysis of TyreSense offering recommendations and actions for product health improvements.
  • Provide training and upskilling of clients end users, third party contractors and internal sales staff.

About You

To be successfully considered for this role you will have:

  • A background in Auto Electrical, Electronics, or communications.
  • A Mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded as you will be required to understand complex machine layouts.
  • Prior experience with power and hand tools is essential.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to utilise various software systems.
  • Capable to safely handle equipment and communicate well with internal departments and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow risk assessment and hazard identification processes. 
  • Meet a physical standard to undertake system installations and inspections on large earthmoving equipment, in Perth and on remote mining operations. 
  • Be an Australian Citizen or be a permanent resident. 
  • Meet our strict zero drug and alcohol tolerance requirements.
  • Current Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
